| TThe Florida Keys are the only place in the US where the Southern Cross constellation can be viewed. This image was taken at approximately 2 am. The nebula Eta Carina can be seen to the right of the Southern Cross. One of the largest stars in the Milky Way galaxy resides in Eta Carina and may go super nova in the near future. The different colors of the stars of the Southern Cross can be easily discerned in the reflections in the tidal pools. Weather Conditions: The clearest night in 13 years at the Winter Star Party.
