The trees in Yellowknife strain to reach for the scarce sunlight. Pine trees grow short, stunted and skinny. Not much further north, trees do not grow at all, so most of these “Live on the edge”. During strong outbursts, the aurora forms swirls that mimic galaxies. Weather Conditions: Clear, dry, cold
