Title: Comet over Bryce Canyon Bryce Canyon, Utah, March 1997
The Great Comet Hale-Bopp rises over one of the unusual formations down the Navajo Trail in Bryce Canyon. The Canyon elevation is quite high (8,800 feet) which makes the stars appear brighter. The light pollution is not a problem either, because the closest large city is hundreds of miles away.
Weather Conditions: Very cold, dry and clear.
