The Great Comet Hale-Bopp rises over the observation field at the 1997 Winter Star Party. Astronomer George Fleenor observes the beautiful Comet nucleus through his 10-inch telescope. It was quickly becoming a bright naked-eye object.
Weather Conditions: Cool (60 degrees) but dry for the Keys.
