Title: Illumination Yellowknife, NT, Canada: January 2002
Multiple curtains combined with a swirl to illuminate a deserted campground at Prelude Lake. The northern lights can literally light up the whole night sky, outshining even the full moon. However the light is more eerie than a full moon. The overall glow is usually a lime green but instead of a single source such as the moon or sun, it comes from all directions, so there are no shadows. It adds a “surreal” feeling to the night.
Weather Conditions: Clear, dry, cold.
